Kodi proxying and passwords
Section titled “Kodi proxying and passwords”If Kodi requires a password, Symfonium must proxy media when casting from Kodi to Chromecast or UPnP devices.
If your Kodi server is only available on your local network, removing the Kodi password avoids this proxying step and greatly reduces battery usage.
